  • Headline: 10% of Telecommuters work in the nude

I wish I could telecommute-but it doesn't work for cable guys.

Some tellecommuters work in the nude
(complete story follows in case link goes away)
SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 5 (UPI) -- Some 10 percent of worldwide telecommuters wear nothing at all while working at home, finds a survey by the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based SonicWALL.

About 39 percent of respondents of both sexes said they wear sweats while working from home, but 12 percent of males and 7 percent of females wear nothing at all, according to a survey of 941 remote and mobile workers worldwide conducted by Insight Express and SonicWALL, a provider of integrated network security and productivity solutions.

Forty-four percent of women surveyed said they showered on work-at-home days, as opposed to 30 percent of men.

Seventy-six percent of the employees surveyed believe that working remotely from home is an aid to productivity and 61 percent are convinced that their managers agree with them.

More than half of the survey's respondents accessed the corporate network from home on a daily basis, with 86 percent logging in remotely several times a week.

I get to telecommute twice a week. Maybe you'll get to install cable at a nudist friendly house or resort sometime.

I don't telecommute, sometimes however, I have to do some catch up on work projects at home.

The business I contract for is about an hour away. I work by computer, email and fax. They have no knowledge of my state of undress.

It is much more convenienet to work naked if you can do so. I think that many are a little jealous to those happy.

It feels like I am always working though.
I am here working while our kids are on vacations, but then again I get to save on Child Care. I can watch the kids in the pool, but I cannot get in because I am working at the computer or on the phone. I need a waterproof laptop and phone....yeah....

Hey, luckily for you I recently picked up some first-hand intelligence about that idea... I asked a fellow if he had e-mail and he replied, "Naw - me and computers don't get along. The only thing I can tell you about computers is 'They sure won't float'..." LOL
