  • Spain's Supreme Court says nudism is not a right, backs town's right to ban nudism

Spain's Supreme Court has ruled that nudism is not a fundamental right by backing a town's decision to prohibit it and impose fines.

It is rather disappointing to see that a country which has been such a staunch supporter of body-freedom rights may be moving backwards.

Maybe not the end of the story. Seems there may be an appeal to the European Court.

I note the consequence for going nude: a fine. Unlike the US where the consequence is jail and possibly lifetime branding as a sexual danger.

I truly would go nude more often in unofficial places, or places with reasonable but not guaranteed privacy if the worse that could happen would be a ticket.
