A 'cheeky' daring duo have completed a naked cycle ride from John O'Groats to Land's End, despite being knocked off their bike early in the mission. Colin Unsworth, 52, and Sadie Tann, 32, have cycled their way across the country in the nude to raise money for charity.

The pair set off from John O'Groats on June 29 and cycled their way down the country completely naked. The brave pair completed 50 miles a day to reach Land's End yesterday (July 25) on their trusty tandem.

However despite the 'overwhelming' support they received during the ride, the bold pair were left shaken when a driver knocked them off their tandem just outside Perth, Scotland. A 32-year-old man was charged with a road traffic offence, according to Police Scotland.

The pair said that tourists seemed 'overjoyed' when they rode into Land's End and that 'everybody had their cameras out'. "It was great, everybody had their cameras out and straight away people cottoned on to what we had just done," said Colin, from Adlington, Lancashire.

"The reaction was great, people were kind of coming out of the building to take pictures of us. There was people there from all over the world so I think they were all bemused to see this funny, British way of celebrating the end of the pandemic."

The pair have posed at various national landmarks aside from Land's End, including Edinburgh Castle and the Angel of the North. Locals and tourists alike have snapped pictures of the duo at various stops along the 837-mile route.

Both cyclists said they have received an 'overwhelming' amount of positive support since they started their journey. People have gone so far as to open up their homes for the night or offer them a spot of lunch.

Colin said: "The majority of people will pip their horns and wave or laugh at us. We get people who overtake us, turn around and pull into the side of the road to take a video.

"I think most people can see we are not doing any harm, and we are doing something that's quite brave." He added: "As we was coming up outside Edinburgh Castle, there was a coach load of Japanese tourists and we could just hear the uproar and the laughter. They were all absolutely rolling around laughing, trying to get their cameras out."

However despite the 'overwhelming' support, the bold pair were left shaken when a driver knocked them off their tandem just outside Perth, Scotland. A 32-year-old man was charged with a road traffic offence, according to Police Scotland.

Colin and Sadie took on the long journey to raise money for mental health charity Mind and climate emergency charity Rewilding Britain.

So far, they have raised over £3,000. The pair have no plans yet to do a second nude tandem bike ride, but are keen to organise one where members of the public can ride with them.

I'd love to do something like this. Just don't know about getting the support necessary.

nudeyooper - same here. I think the political climate in much of this country would make something like this quite likely to be met with hostility and arrest. The Brits are much more comfortable with nakedness and bawdy things. I don't know if it was here or not, but in the last year I read about a man who had hiked through England naked. If I recall correctly it's not illegal if you're not being lewd in some way. Pretty sure there are only a handful of states where that's true.
