With regard to nudity laws. Unfortunately, many states, cities, or counties have laws on indecent exposure. It seems they view the naked body as indecent in that we should not be exposing our genitals or butt. If we walk outside naked, we could be arrested and charged with indecent exposure (except in areas where nudity is allowed). This is something we need to work on getting changed. The United States isn't as open to nudity as many European countries are. The United States is more of a textile country.

Actually, people in the US has this "thing" about nudity. They disallow it, but there are a lot of magazines which show it.

If they allow people to just walk around naked then they wouldn't be able to sell the magazines

What they see in the magazines is a lot different from what they would see on the street. Young and fit sell. Are there any magazines that feature old and obese? Yes, as a people we will go out of our way to see naked people, but few of us want to be seen while naked. I will admit it is a factor brought on by laws against nudity that can be viewed from public places, but most of us have privacy fences, our resorts have the same, and we worry about being "caught."

Most of the nudes I downloaded from Shutterstock have the "perfect" body. (Got two of them). There was a time that I would be shocked to see them. But ranul is right. If they allow people to just walk around naked then they wouldn't be able to sell the magazines. Shutterstock nudes would include people of both (all) sexes and all body types.

Most likely, a lot of people otherwise wouldn't be printing them
