  • Diners left 'outraged' after two nudists enjoy pub meal while naked

Families dining in at a pub were left "outraged" and "appalled" when two nudists walked into the bar naked.

Nudist Neil said he contacted the pub, which describes itself as a ‘family friendly’ venue, ahead of their visit to inform staff they were naturists. Staff at the pub say they researched the rules on naturism and took the booking and described it as a 'learning experience'. He and Danielle, 35, from London, were on their way for a weekend break in Cornwall when they stopped off at the boozer.

Neil, 34, has been a naturist for several years and lives in Cheshire.

Wish nudists could do the same here, but todays culture, being arrested would be a major concern.

It most certainly could be. Some years ago - I don't know if it was in Concord or Nashua, New Hampshire, there was a World Naked Bike Ride event. Two guys decided to go "off route" and go into a convenience store for a bottle of soda. They were busted and faced lewdness charges IIRC. Which would have landed them on the sex offender list for life.

One guy was in various online forums and asked "what do I do? what do I do? I don't know what to do!"

He was advised by some "oh, stay the course! Fight it! Be a pioneer!"

Which is the equivalent "be a martyr for the cause!" Y'know, things don't end up well for martyrs. Some more reasonable folks advised -- "I am not a lawyer BUT I would call the DA and ask him/her if they would be willing to accept a plea to something like disorderly conduct, you'll pay a fine, it's a misdemeanor but you won't be on the offender registry." And when you go into court, tell the guy or gal with the robe "Damn, I didn't know what the hell I was doing" and you'll likely be met with "Fine is xxx dollars, repent and sin no more!"

They called the DA's office - the deal was amenable to him/her, who was relieved that this wasn't going to turn into a circus, They went into court, copped to disorderly, and were fined and told "repent and sin no more!"

Now, this pub visit likely is going to be a bonanza for the guy who owns the place. Curiosity seekers, etc. will come in for a pint. Which I could use right now.
