THE King has lifted a ban on nudists exhibiting their orbs and sceptres on one of his beaches.

Sunbathers getting a full-body tan were once a common sight at Fraisthorpe, East Yorkshire.
But a series of dogging incidents led to a council ban in 1994, with police choppers going up to spy on disrobed rule-breakers.
After a three-decade fight, punters can grin and bare it again after East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s lease was returned to the Crown Estate.
Naked rambler Peter Whitehead, 67, said: “Sensible people like King Charles realise there’s nothing wrong with simple public nudity.
“There should never have been a ban in the first place because doggers and naturists are not one and the same.”
Mr Whitehead from South Milford, North Yorks, added: “True naturists are a sensible lot who take a pragmatic approach to situations. We are always mindful of potentially upsetting others.”
Fraisthorpe, owned by the Crown Estate since 1760, was a designated nudist beach for 40 years before the ban.
It is now popular with families and dog walkers.
Andrew Welsh, of British Naturism, said it was aware of previous “issues” at Fraisthorpe. But he added that naturists “simply want to get an all-over tan in the company of like-minded people”.
Naturism is lawful in the UK unless it causes “alarm, harassment or distress”.
The Crown Estate, which owns half of UK beaches, banned nudity at Holkham, Norfolk, in 2013 following complaints about swingers.
