You're actually more likely to get ticks when you're clothed. They seem to like warm, moist areas. I got multiple ticks in my pubic area after walking through high grass while fully clothed, I've never had that problem when hiking naked.

i have heard it said that walking in the woods or working in fields nude is better than clothed because it is more obviously immediately whether you have ticks. the ticks don't start to "dig in" right away (i don't think anyway) and it is easier for you or some partner to spot them on your body because they are just more visible.
