    Nude Photos At Art Exhibit Make Phones Ring

    Sometimes I wonder if the people who complain about stuff like this, don't have anything better to do with their time. I understand that some people believe children shouldn't be exposed to nudity, even if I think that's silly, but why ruin the exhibit for everyone else?

    Another example of over-reacting and being overly sencetive to a vocal minority. We should be more vocal in our approval of such displays.

      Nudity is so common in art, that I have a hard time understanding why anyone would go to an art exhibition and expect that there would be no nudity at all.

      To complain that it should be removed is pure ignorance on the part of the person wanting it taken down.

      Not only should it stay up, but if it was a frequent occurrence, I would create a formal educational statement to be read to the complainer. They should be made to understand that not only will it not be taken down, but the nude human form is to be celebrated in art.

        MJ-KC,
        You certainly have a fine art museum in Kansas City which has recently been expanded by an additional new fantastic building. I have never heard of anyone complaining about the nudes there. I am sure that it would not do them any good if they did complain.

          I haven't been there for a long time, but I really need to go. My problem is that I don't want to leave after I get there. There is usually enough to see that I could spend most of a day there and not see everything.

            AHH!! The Children, The Children!! They have seen a nude art piece. Now they shall go blind!! How dare the photographer take such unseemly pictures and contaminate the children's minds like that!!

              We have two beautiful nude bronze sculptures down town as part of our city's outdoor arts. I'm thrilled to see them and to have NOT YET heard any complaints regarding them.
              I'll have to take some pictures and post....they are very nice pieces.

                St. Louis has had nude statues downtown since 1940. See;

                  I and my wife have differing views on this matter. I think the photo's should have never been taken down, as I love nude myself. But my wife would not enjoy seeing the art for what it is.

                  My wife naked with me in a public setting will never happen, but that is what makes us who we are.
