I voted "Other". I am Unitarian Universalist and an active board member of my local church.

I am Episcopalian. My dad was raised Catholic. Some cousins are Unitarian, and others are Methodist. This reminds me of an old movie where a victorian girl played by a young Liz Taylor has a crush on an Episcopalian, and bemoans that she isn't. She says, " I'm Methodist, Dad was an Episcopalian, but my mom...SHE was the Methodist!"

I'll say liberal Christian -- currently attending an Anglican (aka Episcopalian) church.

I am a born-again Christian, neither "Catholic" or "Protestant".

I like that excellent all inclusive statement of attitude, belief, point of view!

It is obvious to me that man (sic) made God in man's image.

I have (somewhat limited) faith in reason and empirical inquiry. I think overstrong commitment to beliefs in the absence of evidence is a danger to all of us.

Good observations and very nicely put. While I do think there is a God independent of man, I also think man's view of God tends to be very much anthropocentric. Indeed historically, various ethnic groups tend to think of God very much much as on of their own kind.

No doubt the tendency to think of God in one's own cultural image helps fuel religious-based hatred.

I have faith in the human race to overcome troubles in the world, overcome the environmental threat, to spread goodwill to each other and live together in harmony -

If the above is not possible then my faith is doomed and so is everyone elses.

Our churches web-site mentions our freely exploring question together and coming to our own personal conclusions, "rather than saying things we may not believe, or believing things we cannot understand".
