Pornography Needs Clothes

If everyone were naked and unashamed of their nakedness, pornography wouldn't exist. It would be laughed off the street. The body isn't rude, it's a divine creation. God said it was good.

I think that pornography would still exist if we had the luxury of being naked. It may be true that taking clothes off is part of it, but the obsession with sex is the real cause for it. Perhaps there would be less of a market for pornography if we taught our young to be sexual beings. Many if not most of us learned what we know by what other guys told us, what that girlfriend said she liked and wanted. That is if she knew. We used pornography as a teaching tool, a poor one at best. We know that porn is not real. We also know that nudity is not necessarily a catalyst for sex. Our sex drive is strong and when the physical need is not met, it is easy to turn to the wrong means of satisfying that need.

We're new to naturism. How we got into it was a direct answer to prayer--God was waiting to explain it. Once He did, my wife and I took our two teenage son and daughter to Florida. There we went to a clothed beach and a nude beach (Blind Creek Beach). I can honestly say that on the nude beach, we felt so free. I had zero 'looking' issues. But at the clothed beach, it was horrible--lust was insane. From junior high school until we got married, I always had to masturbate before I went to the beach. Once married, we had to have sex the night before and morning of going to the beach. Else, I wouldn't make it. Once when we didn't have sex, I had to pack us up after only a couple of hours and get home to do the deed. That's how bad I had it. But I had no issues like that at the nude beach. In fact, my wife and I went alone to Blind Creek for 10 days and never once had to have sex before we went. If anything, I'd say sex was great because we felt so free.

My point is I truly believe Satan has to have the Images of God wearing 'fig leaves' in order for us to lust. So, I'm in agreement with EltonJ experientially and spiritually. And I joined this site simply because it is a place were I can see the Images of God without fig leaves and enjoy what God said is "very good" (Genesis 1:31).
