I'm in western Jefferson County in Missouri, only about 5 miles from the 40 Acre Club, which is about 45 minutes west of St. Louis out Hwy 30 (Gravois).

I have 14 acres myself... and spend as much time there nude as possible. My wife and I have already gotten some of our non-nude friends used to us being nude.

I hate having to put clothes back on when someone comes to visit... I had my wife ask them if it was OK if I was nude (I was breaking the ice, not her) and they said "it's your place". I'm not sure if they thought I was serious or not. Either way, that ice has definitely been broken, and I'm happier for it!

Hi, I also live in the West County area of St. Louis and so am not too far away from 40 Acres. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to convince my wife of the pleasures of nude recreation.

I am always looking to make new friends that enjoy the nude lifestyle, and keep thinking that there must be some place nearby where I can be nude outdoors that doesn't have the restrictions of 40 acres (couples only).

In your particular situation, the closest resort for you is Lake O' The Woods nudist resort, at Valpariaso Indiana, which is not far from Chicago. I doubt that you would have trouble being admitted to this wonderful resort, but you might contact them first and ask.

When Forty Acres has their open house, free of charge, (I believe on July 13), you could attend, but it would probably only frustrate you further because you could not be admitted on a regular basis without your wife. Your wife could attend open house there with you and would not have to disrobe.

One sure way for you to enjoy a nudist resort soon, is to join AANR/MSA and attend the MSA convention where ALL menbers are welcome. Please read the MSA page at this web site regarding the upcoming MSA convention which starts on July 28 and will be held at Sunshower Country Club nudist resort at Centerville Indiana.

If you do join, I recommend that you join thru Bare Hunters Nudist Club, of St. Louis County. This club is now rather inactive, as they are looking for another facility in which to meet. It would be more advantageous, in several ways, to join thru Bare Hunters Club, and the price is right.

EZNude: INA visited Show Me Acres near
Springfield back in May. They are only open
on the weekends, but seem to have a more
relaxed policy about singles. They do
however mandate that you phone ahead first
and fill out a form. If you go to

Regarding Show Me Acres -"Singles", yes. "Married-Singles", I don't think so. This opinion is from my experience when I was a "married-single" (before my wife died) and spoke with them, but maybe I misinterpreted their emphatic admonition to bring my wife. EZ could certainly ask them.
