Hi there. I'll be in Kuala Lumpur at the end of this month (May)for 1 week...& I have mentioned to a few nudist friends of mine there on my intention of doing a nudist get-together. They seem keen on the idea. How could I contact you?Comment

Bummer, I just came back from KL! - beautiful place, I enjoyed it very much. Haven't been to any beaches but I can imagine they must be gorgeous.
However, as a muslim country I guess possibilities for nudism are strictly limited to the indoors/private home areas.... (and even then probably pretty much unheard of except among maybe some nudist expats????)
Right now I am in Japan, I known there is a small circle of nudists here that meet so now and then at communal onsens (hot spring baths), but otherwise also here it is pretty much unheard of (nudism).

I read a book in french about Japan where they say nudism is common in bath houses (establishements with sauna, swimming pool and hot springs).

Yeah, it is quite a challenge being a nudist in a muslim country like Malaysia. In countries like Japan, they're quite tolerant about nudity especially the onsens.

Not really! Display of pubic hair is forbidden, genital areas are scrambled on TV and the first thing they check at customs is whether you have something like playboy with you (forbidden!). Sorry but I am not to keen on arguing with a japanese customs officer about the innocence of naturist reading material.
Then, nearly ALL onsen are strictly sex segregated, so it doesn't really count as nudity friendly. In this case, the nudity isn't any different then the (school/club) shower etc at home. In addition, most people use the miniature towels to "cover up", so they are not THAT relaxed about nudity. Worse, in the few mixed onsens that exist, it is not uncommon to find women bathing with towel wrapped around them.
Everyone their own culture, but it ain't anywhere close to nudism.Comment

I just came back from a trip to Japan, and had been to the hot springs a few times. Naturist4Ever's observation is quite accurate, although I feel that most men do not really cover up, or at most 50-50.
I also encountered a very interesting incident. While I was in one of the hot srpings, a cleaning lady came into the men's section to clean up. She just walked around the place cleaning up, even talking to the clients and directing me at one time (since I was there for the first time and looked kind of lost
). She was very professional, and the men didn't seem to mind too much of her presence.

Hi. There are some outdoor places in Malaysia which can do nudism. But indoor gatherings, I think it is much easier....
Watching movies in a nude, I have done it once in KL... haha.. quite fun. Have you try in nude watching a movie show?
