Last night my sister and I were sitting around and I told her of my enjoying going around nude when I could. I was surprised that she did not really have any problems with it I thought it was a good start and hope the rest go this easy .The only thing I did not ask was if it was ok to be nude in front of her.One thing at a time

Thats excellent news dude, it's funny how people never react as bad as we think they will. I told my mom last summer, i was so scared of what her reaction was going to be. In the end she said she would'nt want to do it, but had no problem with me been a naturist. Like you at the time i did'nt ask if ok to be nude in front of her, but over the last year i have wore less and less round the house. She has said she does'nt like me been naked downstairs or in the garden, but anywhere else in the house is fine.

I told one family member who was fine with it and it spread like wild fire thru the family. Some are fine some just dont understand.

How do you feel now that someone knows? Im an honest person so keeping my lifestyle a secret was difficult. Im much more at ease now that others are aware.

Does the downstairs area have many windows that are open, or is that simply where mum spends most of her time?

You see dude, Downstairs is where the front door is. My mum does'nt want me naked downstairs incase we have visitors, or someone comes to the front door. Hopefully in time i can talk her round, by keeping a robe downstairs this should solve the problem.

Most of us who go nude in the home keep a pair of shorts or robe near the door in case someone comes. If your mother knows you are nude she should be able to let you cover before letting anyone in. I quite often answer the door nude and open it a crack to see who is there and then cover up if necessary before letting anyone in.

I agree with naturalmanwa regarding keeping a pair of shorts handy by the door. It works. While I enjoy going nude around the house and out in the rear yard, I have no desire to shock or offend others, whether family or visitors. My wife and brother are aware I go without clothes at home and it doesn't bother them, but the extended family does not know. I also keep the shorts handy in the backyard if gardening nude, etc. That way if a neighbor does see me and seems ill at ease, I can cover up (although I wouldn't do so in a furtive "caught" manner). That way I can convey the idea that there is nothing wrong with nudity per se, but that my concern is with not offending them. I think if we can be seen to be sensitive to the feelings of others without being apologetic, most people will get over the fact that we are unclothed.
