• Breaking Down the Walls

Hi all

After browsing through this site for a few days (there's so much quality info here!) I thought I should register and introduce myself.

I've always loved the idea of shedding these ridiculous threads and setting myself free, but until recently I've never had the courage to do so. I've even been to a nudist beach in the past but I was such a slave to my conditioning that I just couldn't bring myself to take my shorts off!

Anyway, last weekend I decided to take a small step towards a naturist lifestyle and spent the whole two days completely "starkers", as we say here in Australia It felt so natural... so "right", and as a result I find myself spending this weekend in the nude too!

I know this all must sound quite ridiculous to you seasoned naturists, but it is with thanks to all of you on this site that I found the nerve to experience this wonderful state of being for myself. I'm quickly learning that people's attachment to clothes has more to do with psychology than morality or physiology.

I'm very pleased to have come across such an open and inspiring bunch of people (that's YOU!) and I look forward to breaking down the internal walls that have held me back for much too long. Give me time... I'll get there, I'm sure

I wish you all the best.

TomorrowMan,

And I'm sure I speak for everyone else here when I wish you all the best as well. Please keep us informed of your progress - I'm sure it will help others.

TomorrowMan, I just got into social nudity last year at age 55. I wish I had done it decades ago. Welcome to the forum and to the world of being natural.

After my first experience at a nudist club her in MI. I was hooked. I'm always nude at home, and I can't wait for warm weather so I can to Turtle Lake Resort in MI. It's only a half hour drive from me and a great place to go. They're very accepting of unmarried men. I'm a dad and grandad. Hey TM dude

Welcome to the naturist lifestyle and the INA Forums from a fellow Aussie.

Don't know if you have read some of my postings so I will introduce myself anyway. My name is Rob, I'm 22 and have a twin bro Casey. We grew up in the naturist lifestyle so any questions you want to ask go for it.

Welcome again.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks!

Speaking of warm, this weekend was the first of what I think will be a long line of hot ones here, so I guess I couldn't have picked a better time to start going nude. It's probably the exact opposite for those of you in the northern hemisphere, but hey, we all have to have our share of the sun don't we?

Jon-Marc - Thanks for reminding me that every minute is precious! It scared me a bit when I turned 30 recently and realised I haven't done a fraction of all the things I aspire to, but it's great to know that there is always time to change.

RT - Great to see another Aussie here! I'm sure I'll be picking your brain about local naturist stuff in the future.

Cheers!
TM

Yeah but you Aussie's seem to get more than your fair share so there's not enough for the rest of us.

Yeah, Rik, I know just what you mean. Sunshine is scarce here in Southern Michigan, too. If I can ever afford to retire, I want to go somewhere sunny and hot.

Sorry guys, but if it's any consolation, the weather in this part of Oz has suddenly taken a turn for the worse this week. Now you can't blame me for stealing your sunshine (at least this week!)

Cheers,
TM

Well someone must have it because here in the UK it's wet, windy and miserable today.

Hey, Rik! Our weather is pretty much the same--cold, rainy and miserable, which is what we generally have this time of year. Brrrrrr!

OK, own up! Who's got all the sunshine? Come on, someone must have it.

I have to say that would be me. We have been having Santa Anna conditions here in Southern California over the last several days. Hot dry windy conditions.

Well, I have the sun, but it is not working too well. Too cold for outdoor nude activities.
