Being naked alone as opposed to being naked with others.

I am new to naturism. Most of my naturism, presently, is done at home alone. I would love to have regular access to a beach or resort where I could be outside naked with others. For me, being naked alone isn't as satisfying as being naked around others. Does this seem like a strange observation? Do others feel this way?

By "satisfying" do you mean that nudity with others is more sexual in nature? If not, what do you mean by "satisfying"? Personally, I don't care if I'm alone or with others as long as I can live in a nudist resort and be nude as much as I want. I have such a aversion to clothes that I don't want to wear them at ANY time. My foot odor problem disappeared since I quit wearing shoes except when absolutely necessary. Most of the time if I need footwear I wear sandals. When I have to wear clothes I try to get by with just light weight shorts and T shirt.

I think I understand what Yoga Guy is talking about. During warm weather I can basically live nude, and do. However it's not the same as being with others. I'm a social person, and I just need to be with other people sometimes.

I don't think he means "sexually satisfying", I think just more satisfying to be around others that are like minded.

Being alone and nude is fine for many of us, but I much rather spend that time with my wife nude then to be by myself. To me, that is more satisfying.

I don't think that being nude around others is more or less satisfying but Jon-Marc, isn't it nice to be able to spend time with others that enjoy your lifestyle as well? If it wasn't, you wouldn't have moved to a nudist resort with other nudists, right!? I think that's what he's getting at here and not something sexual.

We are nude by ourselves, me when the Prof's at work, and she when I'm at work. We also find it satisfying when we are together nude and enjoy that time more than when we are alone. Then there are times when we crave the company of our nudist friends and that is also satisfying.

I find it socially more satisfying. I enjoy being with people. I suppose it is more sexually satisfying as well, not in that I seek out sexual gratification by being nude with others. Isn't being naked with others an expression of our sexual selves?

I think it's great being naked with other friends and nudists. But no it should never be sexually @ all. That should be done in your own home with a loved one. Not displayed out in public.

I am a home nudist myself, but enjoy meeting others.

When I say sexually satisfying I don't mean it in terms of sexual intercourse. I agree with the general consensus that sexual intercourse is a private thing not to be attempted in public. Being naked is sexually satisfying in that it is an expression of ourselves—a side of ourselves that the rest of the textile world doesn't see. Anyone can see me in public in a bathing suit and it is socially acceptable. The minute my trunks come off I am considered by some to be indescent. Why? Because my genitals are in clear view. I love my genitals just like I love the rest of my body. My genitals are special in that they are direct link to my sexual self. Being naked is about being open and free with others—isn't it? Expressing one's sexual self seem's to be the thing that is the most taboo. Does that make any sense? I know I am rambling a bit.

Even though I can spend dozens of hours a week, nude in my yard and garden, all summer. I still enjoy having company.
Even though I can spend an entire afternoon lounging in my pool, soaking up the sun. It's still more fun if there is someone to share the day with.
Even though I can find an Isolated area of beach along some lake or river to relax and enjoy nature. It's still better if there is someone with to share the experience.

Sometimes, one other person is enough. Sometimes it fun to be part of a large crowd.

Life in general is more "Satisfying" when there are people to share it with. Nudism is a part of that life.

I, too, find the time with others more satisfying. I enjoy the company of others and the discourse that ensues. We learn so much about others when we open up a bit and share our views. We also learn more about the world. When socializing nude, I find others are more open with opinions and views and then the discourse becomes really interesting to me.

A question for Yoga Guy: I recognize the avatar as being one from MVM.com, but have not quite figured out how you got a nude one. Could you elaborate a bit or share through a PM? Thanks in advance!

I know what you mean.

Like most things in life it is just more fun doing it around others of a like mind. We humans are a very social and gregarious bunch we need social contact and interaction. I can and have been nude alone many times but I find I have more fun if I can hang out with others and chat mingle etc.

Nudism is pure if you let it be. One of the greatest "gifts" it gives isn't simply giving you freedom from clothing, it's giving you freedom from everything associated with clothing, or the lack there of.

I think most things are nicer shared with others. Some times my moods are to be alone, but most often in the company of others. Nude or clothed, it's always nice to have friends. I agree with Yoga Guy.

Be it by myself, with the wife or others, I don't really care. I'm just happy to be naked, no matter who is, or who is not around.

I'm just satisfied to be able to wear nothing. Just as DoctorSurferDude stated, it's like running around naked after a bubble bath.
