  • Pleasantville

Has anyone seen the movie Pleasantville? I'm just watching it now, and kind of seems like you could almost replace everyone turning from black and white to color, to everyone going from prude to nude. You might see alot of the same behavior and attitudes in the transition.

    Just a thought

This is a wonderful movie showing people's fear of what they don't understand or fail to comprehend. Very much like social nudism acceptance today. As I have stated before, if we do not group together in a united voice, we have a tremendous amount of freedoms to lose.

I thought Pleasantville was a great movie. But I think the satire was more of the color barrier and cencorship. There is definitely a link on expressions of freedom,so I guess nudism could come into play.

It's one of my favorite movies.
            Very philosophical.

I think it parallels any change in a social paradigm. Even the Christian "fall of man". Society will change and move forward regardless. For us it's easy to identify with the color, but it is also important to note the black and white. The black and white were not happy and did struggle and hurt.

For good or bad (which is often a subjective label), all things will change.
