It's been awhile since there has been a poll taken on age and genders of our members, so since there have been so many new members, I would like to take a simple survey on ALL our members.

Since I'm not married and don't think of myself as single, I would have preferred to say "divorced". To me, single means "never been married". Since there is such a stigma connected with being single, I always let them know at any nudist resort I go to that I've been married, and that I have two daughters and four grandkids, and then I hope that they will look at me more kindly than they do men who have never been married.

Since I'm not married and don't think of myself as a confirmed bachelor, I would prefer to say that I am a family sort of man who just hasn't met his wife yet. My singleness means I am like a fine bottle of wine, getting better with every passing year. When some lucky girl finally "pops my cork", she will be glad she waited for a fellow of a vintage year, one who's more mellow than those who were bottled up more recently. Since there is such a stigma connected with being single, if they will open the main gate long enough to hear my case, I will then let them know that I am a family man, (a family of one, but open to mergers and acquisitions).
I am happiest in family resorts, not those "Where the Wild Things Go" places.

By stating single, I was not referring to divorcees, widowers or anything of the sort. What I was referring to was being "unattached", meaning there is no signifant other. By my description, since there are those who are divorced, they, to me, would be considered single, either by choice or not. Widowers, on the other hand, would be considered single as well, obviously not by choice. Since there is nobody else living in your household, then those individuals would be considered single, just for this poll only.
Please do not read into this poll as being a true and accurate description of singles, attached or otherwise. This poll was created just for curious purposes only, and to show the new members that there are nudists younger and older than others, gender balance, and those who are "attached" or single. It's not to be taken as the "book of law", so to speak. People don't even have to explain themselves, just vote and check the results. Just that simple. why should they look at you differently than at a guy that has never married nor had children?

To follow up on cyndiann's comments, I know several men and women who have kids (single parents), who consider themselves single and live the single lifestyle. They may not be as outgoing as they may have been in the past (because of the kids), but they do get around.

Cyndiann,
It's probably just my paranoia showing. Actually, it's just wishful thinking to hope that I might be looked upon more favorably as a once-married man with family than singles are usually looked upon. However, I find that we are all lumped into one catagory--under suspicion and must be watched.
I apologize, NudeM, if my attempt at trying not to be classified as "single", and trying to be more specific as to my status is offensive. It's just the way I think. It's true--you're either married or not. "Used" to be married pulls no weight in nudist venues.

I voted and marked male, because I am the one that normally replies and posts here, but my wife is the same age and has been a nudist as long as I have.
I was suprised to see that the largest age group was the 21-45 y.o.'s. I would have thought it was the 45+ group.

I think it is wrong that "They" look at singles differantly, but we all know "They" do.
Oh how was the concert, We could not make it to Como. Damn it.

21-45 is a large stretch so the people who answered might well be in 40s. That being said, I am sure there were few people in their 20s. NudeM, you shouldd havee brokene the ages down in order to get a better idea of age. Instead of 21-45, you should have 21-30, 31-35, and so on.

croydon: Yea, I thought about that, but I decided to get a general age limit, without going into so much of a breakdown. I also should have included the chance of voting for two selections instead of only one. I realize that most members have only one computer, so that leaves only one vote, if there are two or more nudists in one household. To get around that, simply get your spouses to sign up and become a regular, that way there would be a male/female vote on the poll from the same household.
So far, the poll is really taking off. Thanks for everyones input. I will be checking it out regularly. I just wanted to show the new members, and older members alike, that there are nudists from all ages and, so far, the married and single category is a relatively close call. So far, I have noticed, is what is usually the case, that the male/female ratio is dominated by the males. Common ladies, help us get this built up. I know there are more females out there, many of which post regularly. Also, you married couples, get your spouses to sign up and become a supporter of these forums. This will also help build up the male/female ratio.
Again, thanks for everyones input. I'll be checking back.
