I'm not entirely new to nudism or the forums. I try to be nude in my room and i sleep nude. Also, I have been on this forum for a few months now. However, I have not been publicly nude.

I work in NYC and live around the NYC area and i was on the metro train going home and i stepped into a car that had no airconditioning and was very warm. All I could think about was how nice it would be if I were nude. This leads to my question: Are there any nude saunas or steamrooms in the NYC/NJ area? I don't have a car because I use public transportation.

Furthermore, i don't know if this appropriate or not, but i felt myself getting aroused. I do not know if it was because of the exciting nature of being nude, heat, or what not but it did happen. (i'm open to comments about that)

A little about me: I am 19 years old currently doing an internship in NYC and going to school in NJ (majoring in computer engineering). My background is indian american (not to be confused with native american), and i'm a fun loving guy!

Hi dbansal,

You've not been publicly nude, you're 19, you're from a culture that is not exactly nude-friendly (re: public naturist places), but you're already "nude aware" (good for you).

You were *clothed* on the subway and felt aroused. So what? This will happen to men of all ages and it has little to do with naturism, but the more you are exposed and become involved with public naturism, the less "aroused" you become when you see how non-sexual it all is.

Stop worrying and relax!

I do not see why arousal is seen as a bad thing.

Having an erect penis feels great and its not always sexual in nature. Most of the time its just out of excitement and out having fun.

When I am nude around the house (more specifically , my room) I always get an erect penis and I do not mind it all. I am not tempted to do anything sexual. Maybe its just me?

Also, can anyone help me out with a nudist sauna or steam room around the ny/nj area. I know some gyms have them but the price is somewhat too much for a 19 year old and a lot of guys are squimish about being naked

Well, my friend, innocent or not, when you parade that erect penis of yours around any naturist gathering that is non-sexually oriented, you'll see just how *unpopular* you are.

Then again, I'm sure there are lots of saunas and steam rooms in NYC/NJ that are not naturist, but do offer a sexual environment and welcome erect penises, especally when they're caused by being "excited" and "having fun" (your words).

Having an erection in your own private space is normal and common, but not so in public non sexual nudist, naturist venues at resorts, clubs, and clothing/optional beaches. Having a sustained erection, or flaunting it will get you thrown out of most facilities, and could get you cited for public indecency or worse as a sexual offense at a clothing optional public beaches or public lands.

I have never heard of nudist sauna's or steam rooms, as they would be hard pressed to survive as non sexual, facilities for nudists or naturist. A day Spa would come closest to that but they are usually expensive.

Looking in the yellow pages of most cities phone books you will find "Bath Houses" or "Steam Rooms" and some cities have private hot tub rooms with a door you can rent, listed as "Private Hot Tub Rooms, or "Hot Tub rental"

Always, call and ask about the rates, facilities, and ask about age, and if mixed genders frequent the facilities before going as most all of these facilities are exclusively for adult gay and bi-sexual men with open and public other than non-sexual activity. If you value you health and hygiene I would keep away from such facilities at all costs.

You are absolutely right, an erect penis has no place in a family atmosphere.

How can I find out about nude beaches around NY/NJ area?

Also, do a lot of people go alone to nudist beaches. I think i'd feel kind of out of place and alone if i went alone
