Nude section-Eastern Lake Ontario

Good Morning from icy & snowy upstate NY.

I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about South Sandy Beach. It’s a very long sandy strip of beach on the east coast of lake Ontario. You can enter this area via Southwick State Park off of route #3. The were signs posted there a few years ago. “NO NUDE BATHING”. Last summer, I noticed the signs were gone. There were several singles and couples there. I’m wondering if it is safe to go there when the weather warms up around here.

Hey Guy, I frequent Selkirk Shores and have found some nice secluded sections to sun bathe. Keep us posted on areas along Lake Ontario,which i might add is a great place to fish and swim,after June when it warms up!

While I have never been there before myself I have heard of people in the area going there nude. I think its one of those things you just need to walk a mile out of the way to skinny-dip. There are secluded Lake Ontario beaches that are suitable for nude sunbathing all the way around the lake from Olcott (NY) in the extreme west all the way up to Cape Vincent (NY) in the east. The unofficial nude beaches are known more or less by word of mouth as it has sadly been past experience that everytime a beach was advertised on the internet, a whole bunch of either gawkers, pervs, or other unwanted and unsavory individuals came to the beach and ruined it for further nude use. Since there is no legal nude beach on Lake Ontario in New York State, you will always take some risk in getting caught.

Ontario is great except for the extremely short season and bugs. Went to Quetico State Forest when in High School, paddled all over that area and was nude most the time. Seldom saw anyone and then only from a distance. Was great!
