It is in Roselawn Indiana. I was there about 30 years ago.

Chives, the nudist resort near Richmond, IN is Sunshower Country Club in Centerville, IN a few miles west of Richmond. You might be interested in checking out Lake O' The Woods Club located just outside of Valparaiso, IN. I have been to both and they are very nice. Check out the AANR web sight to find out more information about these clubs.

For the reasons you stated, I have never been to one of the shows.

In the 15+ years I've attended the club, I've never seen any of the activities you've described. They have their own security people and enforce their rules of conduct.

If you have never been to one of their shows or occasional weekend adult only dances you wouldn't have seen any of those activities either. I will change my wording to indicate with less confusion that the sex trades, stripper contests, and adult celebrity porn star guest master of ceremonies and related shows and contests are only during the annual "Nudes-A-Popping" fund raising weekend.

There are two nude resorts called "Pondarosa" one being fully AANR sanctioned and an upscale country family resort in Texas

Link to AANR sanctioned "Ponderosa Resort" in Texas

The other called "Ponderosa Sun Club" in Indiana which is not an AANR sanctioned nudist resort due to their adult activities mainly on an annual "Nudes-A-Popping" weekend. Their Sun Club is not listed by any of the Nudist organizations, and CFI/CFF has banned their listing, links, web site, and images due to adult and sex trade content. .

If ponderosa Sun Club feels that’s the route and association they want to take for the $$$$$ to support a non listed, non-sanctioned family nudist club the rest of the year, that’s their decision, and in doing so. They will remain isolated in the nudist industry as sex promoted and funded club where one can go to get naked.

Other members of CFF forums have also mentioned it’s a fairly clean and well maintained club with a diverse membership. Others have mentioned and seen soft core explicit adult activity at their adult only scheduled weekend dances which included fondling, pole dancing, and un-nudist like explicitly. I can recall past posts of images from the dance area which had to be deleted from CFF/CFI per terms of the TOS and not being appropriate for this site.

They are not doing organized nude recreation or the organizations a favor by promoting, funding, or relating to the sex trades and industry promotion on their web site 365 days a year, & having sex trade explicit shows and weekend events once a year at a family nudist resort. Until they disassociate with the sex trade and events, they will never meet the standards of organized nude recreation, or CFF/CFI sites for other than mention of their disservice to the nudist industry.

There is also a Ponderosa club in Ontario, with no connection to the the like-named club in Indiana. There is also one in Germany near Trebur, definitely a family-oriented club.

Finally - there are some fine family-oriented parks and groups that do NOT belong to AANR -- many non-landed clubs do not. AANR affiliation is a good thing, but not having it doesn't necessarily mean that the club isn't family oriented.

The link is to the Canadian Ponderosa not to the Texas one. The Texas one have the name Pondarosa and the URL is http://pondarosaresorts.com/

I agree with Gary, Ponderosa Sun Club of Indiana gives real nudism a bad name, and I would not personally affiliate with it. Profit is no excuse. Everyone knows sex sells, but so can clean, wholesome nudism (just to a smaller percentage of the population). I think it's unfortunate that those in the area, and elsewhere that know of the event, go away with a wrong impression of nudism.

Sure, they're going to do what they're going to do, and I think they should legally be able to do so, but I'd hate to see the place recommended on a real nudist site like this. I'm sure there are many "pure" nudists that attend the resort the rest of the year (due to location convenience, etc.), but we must take a stand for our ideals of what nudism should be.
