• What do you wish it would be?

I believe that one of the reasons that young people prefer regular beaches over nude beaches is the young adult social element they crave. The places I've visited are often very inactive, older aged on average(not that that is bad), and fun only if you idea of fun is sitting or sunbathing.

My question is that if a nude beach could be everything you wanted, what would it be like? What kind of activities would you want to do? What kind of crowd would you feel most comfortable in? What would do you dislike about what is average?

Personally I actually like quieter, more open nude beaches, but I'm a pretty quiet shy guy.

I think what young people may like more is more young people. I have nothing against old people but many of the nude beaches near me are fairly small, with a predominance of older people. Most younger people would probably feel better if there was a younger crowd around.

A plus for any beach would be: it's on the coast so you can play in the surf if you like, but there is also a coastal lagoon if you prefer quieter water.

Surfers would be cool. I wouldn't mind giving that a try, but I live 1000 miles from the ocean.

All I think a lot of people would need is some volleyball nets and lots of open sand to play frisbee or toss a football, etc. A lot of times the crowd makes more of a difference than the facilities.

Oh, and somewhere to camp and have a bonfire on the beach would be nice

I'd prefer a more active enviroment.

Something like Hedonism II&III, but with less sexual tension.

          IE. Volleyball doubles: Good

Volleyball doubles with a woman that insists on hugging me in front of my wife every time we score: Less than good

I've posted a reply to a simular questions quite awhile back. I think all beaches should have both a textile and nude section. We would like to see many of the same amenities that clothed beaches have on the nude beaches; restrooms, concessions, volleyball nets (permanent), accessibility. Most of our beaches have such primative access. We also like to see more families.

As for the younger crowd...all we can do is lead them to the water. They will either drink or pass on by. I hope they stop and take a drink.

Our nearest nude beach does have lifeguards and rangers patroling every once in awhile. Both services aren't really consistant. The lifeguards are great and friendly as are the rangers. They both work with the nude beach group to police those not behaving themselves.

              FireProf,

If your talking about San Onolfre, your right. Last time I went I actually saw a Sheriff walk down the beach and back, in full fatuiges. Not to bust anyone for nudity, but I assume to make sure no sexual activity was going on. It was nice, I thought.

This is one of the reasons I like Sandy Hook so much, there are plenty of facilities (concessions too) and a bit younger crowd. Although I found that the gay section of the beach attracts a much younger crowd than the straight section of the beach. It definitely makes for a different vibe. More frisbee games, etc.
