tonight I was at my friends house with 2 friends...we started talking about nudity... i told him i was a nudist and we decided we should have a nudist social so all three of us wwere nude except one of my friends was very shy because he was the only one who wasnt circumcised and he was less developed. Do you think that Americas views on nudism cause this kind of shyness?

I have to go with smothm on this one. Maybe better punctuation would have made things clearer.
According to previous posts, Jackmoren is 14. I have to assume his friends are around that age as well. At that age, it is normal that one can become shy and embarassed if he is "different". Doesn't mean he wasn't nude, that there was a 4th and doesn't that the story is made up.

I too, read the story as there was only three of them there, nude, but one was quite shy. the main point of the question and post was, what had caused his shyness? Maybe American culture. We're not all typist or English majors, just trying to get by and he's trying to learn some answers to his question at hand.

i think sometimes it's us that puts the feeling of inadequatecy! we assume other people will judge us and view us in the same manner as we do! after more and more social nude visits i notice more people built the same as i!

I've noticed that I'm one of the few men here who are not circumcised. Also, teens are very judgemental of one another. I remember how unmercifully I was made fun of by other teens because of being shy.
He said that he was with two others, and all three got nude, but one didn't. Either his math is off, or someone is confused.

Well he said all three were nude but one was shy because he was uncircumscised.. that doesn't mean he wasn't nude.
Just replace "shy" with "self conscious" and it makes more sense.

I think the "except" in the paragraph doesn't mean that the friend wasn't naked, just that he didn't feel as comfortable in the nude as the others (who were circumsized).
Doesn't mean it's fake, just poorly worded.
Jack, But it's OK man, we aren't the grammer police.

Nudists are just like everyone else, their choice of attire is immaterial!
Nudists have fewer hang-ups because they have less to hang up.
Fake or not, I think we do ourselves a great injustice when we question the validity of every post which contains an error. Nudism is bemoaning the involvement of younger people, but then attacks them when they make a mistake. Perhaps this post is legit, but just misworded. Then again, it may be a young person who is putting forth a scenario to obtain answers to questions he has. Either way, let's just answer the question and stop the attacks.
My Reply: Yes, Jack, I believe that society conditions people to be hyper-sensitive to their own and others' nudity.

No one is attacking anyone.. we're just trying to make some sense of it.

Some errors are perfectly understandable, like typos or instances of incorrect grammar. Factual inconsistencies are another thing entirely. Given that this forum has a history of being visited by people who love to make up s***, I'll always prefer to err on the side of healthy skepticism, young person or not. And BTW, we also have young people here who are perfectly capable of expressing themselves clearly and who do not feel the need to make stuff up. They're the ones who should be encouraged.
