Definitely worth the drive, NW. Sounds like you're not too far away. Wreck is below UBC, used by a good many students as well as Vancouver population.

My wife and I are from Northern BC and have been to Wreck Beach a couple times. Yes, it is a good place to go but the water is alittle cold to swim! Also Vancouver is a beautiful city.Comment
