Do not worry about your english most of us have a hard time typing our own language or speek it in a way. So welcome to the forums.

Greetings. It's good to see somebody posting from the far reaches of the world. I had no idea that there was such disregard for naturism in Japan. I'm pretty certain they might have at least one clothing-optional group in your country. Oh well.

I heard that the furo used to be a communal bath in smaller towns in Japan. I understand that families would share the bath with no shame, but due to Western influence, sexes may now be segregated.

Furos are hot springs, which are very common in Japan, but not found in every community. Public baths abound.

When I was in Japan in 1990 (courtesy of all you good taxpayers out there), bathing was done nude but segregated by sexes. The guidebook I bought said that there were furos in remote areas that were still used on a mixed-sex basis, but this was not common.

Japan is a wonderful country for Americans to visit. The hospitality was amazing.

I too offer a bow, Happy-san. Although I have never visited your wonderful country, two of my best friends in college were from Niigata, Japan. One had a magnificent baritone singing voice, and the other was the best recorder player with whom I have had the privilege of playing.

I am saddened to hear that the furo is becoming unfriendly to inter-gender nudity. Your people could do without that particular American import. But I am glad that you at least are friendly to nudity.

Wow Japan!!! I would so love to go there someday. I would love to go to a Japanese bath-house, visit the Shinto and Buddhist Shrines, see Mount Fuji, see a Noh play, and see the location of the Nintendo corporation. Maybe I'll get to go there someday. At least I hope so.

[img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif[/img] My native language is far apart the english too and who knows- may be more ancient as Yours I quess (~10 000 years at least archeologists says), differs grammar, words, even letters - we have a 33 letters in written language, however I understand some 6 languages and speak well at least 4 - it comes fast I ensure. The same as You has a problem in Your land, it is not much naturists in Latvia here, resorts or clubs are not existant and quite immaginable. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif[/img]

But thanks to this e-site You may feel that You are pretty normal, common enough not be a pervert as many fools quess about us and never alone be a human with humanistic wishes, so be inspired to come and be often here.
