Heya all, I'm Tammy and 15 from Scotland.

First time I have signed up with a naturist forum.

Well thought I would pop along in here and get some info and that as I have never been nude in public and my parents are nudists and want to go on holiday taking me as well for the first time. I don't know what to expect really and don't know how I would react being naked in public, obv I would be embarrased. I am not forced on going and I am going on my free will as it would be something different.

Anyways hope I get on okay in here and get some advice, got months away till we go on hols.

Hi Tammy,

"Ciad mile failte" to the Forums! You're lucky to have a mom and dad who are naturists who will help you feel comfortable in a public naturist environment. There's nothing to be embarassed about and chances are you'll meet some kids your own age, especially if you're going on hols in France or Spain or Croatia.

Stay close to mom and dad if you're feeling any weird vibes from any older person(s) -- although this may not happen at all. Let mom and dad know how you're feeling about the whole holiday on a daily basis.

Enjoy and don't worry! You'll have a great time.

I think what you're going to find is the weirdest thing about nudism is how, well, NORMAL it all is.

A lot of people think that something very odd is going to happen when they shed their clothes, and when they finally do it... nothing happens. Nobody looks at you didfferently. Nobody makes any comments about it. Pretty soon you just start to forget that you're nude at all.

I totally agree with the others comments here...i certainly felt like how Pirate John described it... and yet after a very ..very short time....it felt like i should have tried it years before as it just seemed so natural. You are lucky to have nudist parents and im sure they will offer great advice.Have fun and enjoy.

Well i think that you should try it out, i started going nude myself when i was about your age, I know that this age can be very strange to go naked amongst others but i think that you will find more easy and natural than you might think.
And noone will force you to go naked, just hang as you like for a few days, clothed or unclothed until you feel comfortable.

Hey-Welcome,I know 15 was an awkward age for me, naked or not;but it sounds like you will be in a family enviroment.I'm pretty sure you will feel more uncomfortable if you stay clothed because you will stand out more.I'd listen to eveyone's advice -you only live once and,hey; if you don't enjoy yourself don't do it again.There are other site's with alot of people close to your age who might be able to help with any questions you might have:

Welcome to the board, Tamara. For your first time i would have to agree with everyone here. My first visit was last summer and i was not lucky enough to go with anybody, I found it easier to just leave all my clothes at the car and go to the pool area. I first just went to the boutique and walked around for a minute to ease my nerves a bit and then went back to the car and left my clothes there for the rest of the day. I envy you because i wish i had the oppertunity to experience nudism at a younger age(I'm 23 now).

A belated late welcome to the forum, Tammy & I hope you're still here since you don't appear to have posted since the day you joined.

First things first. You're not alone in being a nudist in Scotland, there are a few more of us you'll be pleased to here! What part of Scotland are you in? I'm aware there are at least a couple of nudist swim meets organised monthly & if one was near you, it might be a good way of being introduced to the lifestyle, prior to your holiday.

There's also YBN which would be a worthwhile place to check out as there are a number of genuine nudists from all over the UK who are members & they could provide you with up to date info.

As Toffer mentioned (thanks for remembering where I live, Chris!) you should also have a look at http://www.ynai.com It's a very well run site, & has many members, male & female, who are closer to your age. There's no harm in gleaning as much info as you can from all the decently run & genuine naturist web sites, so I'll hope to see you on YNAI in the near future.

Oh, & before I forget, there are a few nudist beaches in Scotland where you can try before you head off in summer with your folks .... it might surprise you how close you are to a genuine nudist beach!
