  • HIGH SCHOOL NUDISTS

These days I can't help but feel it's so much safer for everyone to stay away from anything nudist that relates to anyone under 18.

Watch the news...it's like a worldide witchhunt out there. If there's nothing improper or inappropriate going on, the powers that be try to create something just to prosecute people.

The topic of nudism as it relates to young people is dangerous in our time.

John, teenagers need nudism more than any age group on the planet. If we ignore teens, the future of nudism is at stake and maybe society at large, as well.

I would give anything to turn the clock back to my teenage years and have gone to an AANR youth camp. Well, I can't, so the next best thing is to accept whatever personal risk is involved and try to help the next generation grow up with body acceptance and healthy knowledge and respect for the bodies of the opposite sex.

Let's be brave and do the right thing for their sake!

        John:

There are plenty of kids/teens who enjoy camping nude. We just don't like being told HOW to. My school isn't all that big and I've gone camping with maybe 20.

As much as I hate to say it, but the teen nudist movement is an uphill battle of sorts. I blame the media for most of it, but there are other more important issues that I could consider if had the time to rant. As a former high school (closet) nudist turned community college (semi-closeted) nudist, I am quite bothered by how my peers and comtemporaries are commonly associating nudity with sex (take Janet Jackson, for instance). It's free expression, and if you'll try it, you'll almost certainly like it. Unfortunatly, in today's society the same logic goes for brussel sprouts.

So John, you would rather give in to the extremists and allow parents give up their rights to raise their children as they see fit? Let's just make all nude beaches like Hippie Hollow in Texas. No children allowed.

This is a terrible position to take. It does not one iota of good in saving the children. It tramples on the rights of the whole of society and it is caving in to those who believe that the nudist lifestyle is dangerous to children.

We need to fight for every right we have or we will lose every right we have.

And if you are concerned about witchhunts, I recall in the 80s about a day care center in California(?) in which one single complaint led to an investigation of the teachers and owners resulting in accusations of ritualistic sexual abuse, satanic worship, animal sacrifice, cannibalism, etc. The people who had originally been convicted of abuse were released after they couldn't tell what was true from what was false. And this was a part of a witchhunt.

To simply give in is not an option. If we were to simply disallow children from nudism, the witchhunt would move on to something else. They have already targeted schools, day care centers, churches, etc. What is next?

When you have truth on your side, you can fight the best fight you can. When those people come around and attempt to take you down, you must fight them. A nudism without children is not the type of nudism that I want to be a part of.

What I dont like is how these conservative/religious extremeist groups always target children and have this "protect the children" bull**** every time something happens at a school or church and instead of finding out what really happened and dealing with that issue, they always blame it on the nudity. Nudity doesnt bother children, they feel no shame or disgust of their body parts unless it is taught to them. I really wish the government and activist groups would stop trying to impose their strict conservative and religious views on us.

I would like to echo what have previously stated. I believe our lifestyle and the future of the naturist/nudist community depends on our children. We need to instill healthy values in our kids so thart they're not ashamed of their bodies or to be scared to go nude in any naturist setting.

Oor family belongs to a nudist club in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we go out there 2 to 3 times a month during the summer. We have two sons, ages 13 and 11, and they like nothing better than to come homme from school, take a shower, a remain naked until dinner or when they have to do their homework.

My point is if we create a safe healthy enviornment in which our kids can be naked, they will choose nudism everytime.

                Peace and stay naked,
                Greg M.

SMA is right. Associating nudity with sex hurts acceptance. But if you look for 'nudist(s)' on the net you get porn. I don't see that changing.

That's the one problem I'm having on my yahoo club. Yahoo, in all it's infinite wisdom has deemed my club ADULT even though it's a tried and true nudist club. Both myself and my moderator are stringent when it comes to anything that is posted adult. Imagine how many people have missed out because of this one action. And because it's listed as adult, I get people trying to join that see ADULT and cue up the porno music.
I can say that I have over 5000 members that DO care about my club and take action when someone does try to pervert the club. So I'm greatful for that much.

Steve, you're lucky. All I've gotten on Yahoo for my group are trolls and those who can't follow instructions, so I don't let them in. I think I'll forget the whole thing. It's not worth it.

Yeah, I post under the subject in the 1st section about what to do when you meet with a breast. One person complains about reading about my treating a 11-12 year old girl with great breasts as a medic. They canned the whole subject.

Went a whole year rigging my boat in Singapore in a thong before someone asked me not to during a regatta with jr. high and high school kids around.

We and the English have perverted ideas about what kids are allowed to see or what we're allowed to see as adults, regarding kids.

                          Ralph,

I don't know if it was your intent, but you seemed to pay undue attention, even in a lustful way to the breasts of that patient who was under your care. Do you not see a breach of medical ethics here? Your wording seemed to go way beyond admiration of female beauty. Instead you came across as a lecherous adult gleefully recounting tales of fondling the breasts of a girl and congratulating yourself on having a strong sex drive some thirty years later.
I am very glad that the subject was deleted. I commend the moderator for his good judgement.

You also did not make a good case for wearing a thong in the company of young adolescents. A thong is a garment that draws attention to the one remaining covered area of the body, often drawing the man's genitals to a position of prominence and covering them with bright cloth. If social convention does not allow total nudity, a thong is the most lewd hypocritical garment someone can wear.

Have you crossed the line to exhibitionism? We all need to examine our motives in the cold light of day. Nudism will get a black eye from behavior like this.

Right on girl. Our generation is pretty open minded, we just don't always enjoy doing the same stuff older folks do.

                              Dude,

Are older nudists putting pressure on you to behave a certain way? Time for a little honesty: Nudist resorts are just one of many ways to express your body freedom and many of these resorts are not much help to teens.

Ideally they would let you find your own way toward body freedom, but be available to help when you need it.

For instance, as voting adults, it is our duty to elect nudist-friendly people to county commission seats and national office as much as possible.
That way, you won't go to your usual beach only to find cops waiting for you to strip, so they can haul you off to jail. And we would put pressure on school administrators to discourage bullying and body-critical putdowns in the showers and locker rooms at your schools. You have a right to a safe friendly environment.

Older people can help by supporting INA. I hope this forum is a place for young people to share stories: "How I coped with unsympathetic parents", answers to questions like, "Where are the nearest nude beaches?", and "I want to form a club for young nudists or skinnydippers. How do I get started?".

A lot of us aren't here to tell you what to do. We just want to affirm your choice to be nude when you choose to and let you know you are not weird and you are not alone (for those who don't already know that). If you get in trouble for being nude, there are a lot of people ready and willing to help. There are even lawyers who believe in the rightness of what you are doing.

Please think of us as a resource, as older friends who are quietly there in the background if you ever need us.
