Unless that indoor vinyl pool shown has a pan and drain for over flow or leaks that looks like a disaster ready to happen being in the main part of a recently built house. Their insurance rates would go sky high if that was known.

After reading the link/blog I guess the pool didn’t last long and was returned to Costco for fear of leaking on the rug.

Don't know if I can find the image, but on a redneck site saw an outdoor improvised vinyl pool made in the bed of an old pickup.

Also have seen an indoor pool with waves advertised as swimming in place pool about 6-8 feet wide and about 10-12 feet long.

Link to Inplace swimming pool web site.

I agree with NakeIOWAman- I live in Michigan the weather hasn't been warm here for months to go skinny dipping. Being a new member he can't be talking about stepping out in 40* water and Michigan. Like the pics of the pool- hope they thought that through. Humity in the house and the weight of the water. I guessing the floor is cement slap.

if I had an indoor home pool it would be in the ground with a fence around it and a locked door/gate as the entrance.

LOL, that ISN'T my living room. I may be crazy, but I'm not insane!

However, many people DO have properly constructed indoor swimming pools in their homes - I've seen a few. Mostly very wealthy people.

Additionally there are small 'endless' lap pools designed for indoor installation - they produce an artificial current so that a person can swim 'in place' - these are often designed as therapy pools.

I know, and am very good friends with 2 different families with both of these kind of pools.
The latter was in fact install for theraputic(sp?) reasons, the lady of the house has fused vertibrae and she gets her no-impact excercise by walking in the water current. However, when her kids & husband found that the water-flow was adjustable, they also get their excercise....by kayaking.....inside.

The other family with a almost full sized pool indoors found out after construction with glass on 3 sides & skylites that you need lots of windows that OPEN. The pool is great in the winter, the sun heats the room well and a minimum of gas is needed to heat the water. In the summer the sun heats the room WELL(DONE), to about 120 deg. in fact. For summer use, a geo-thermal pit was put in to cool the water.

I am not well off by any means, but when I set out to have a pool, I wanted more than 3-4 months a year use. I explored the sliding roofs(both electric & manual) they would have cost twice what the pool cost. I found dealer for Superspan Domes. This route cost me about 6,000 and about 250.00 in gas on the coldest months, but we can swim Right now.poolliner.com

I have a pool just like that one in my back yard so late at night I jump in with my suit on and as soon as I get into the water off the suit goes and I swim in the nude.

We love to go to the country in the summer to my uncle's property. It's secluded and has a 6 acre lake that we can go skinny dipping in. It's so much fun. Unfortunately that will be several months from now before we can go back and get naked.

To cold to go skinny dipping here right now too.
I first went skinny dipping with a friend when I was 11, and was instantly hooked into swimming naked. We came across an unofficial naturist beach when walking over rock pools, saw a naked couple and decieded to try it!
